For over thirty five years, Cebir has been dedicated to scientific research, optimising the selection and coaching process in the labour market. Our expertise has led to the development of tools that automate and objectify selection and coaching. Since 1987, Cebir has integrated numerous general and sector-specific recruitment tests into a state-of-the-art online platform. Clients benefit from optimised recruitment processes, resulting in increased successful hirings and staff reallocation across various sectors.
Arnold Böhrer decides to merge his strong interest in computer science with the knowledge and experience he gained as a psychologist at the Catholic University of Leuven, the Belgian army and NATO. He establishes the “Center for Basic Interactive Research”, focusing heavily on automating HRM functions and the selection process.
Cebir is founded by Arnold Böhrer.
Tasc v2 is entirely programmed by Arnold Böhrer in Basic. Two C programmers are hired to strengthen the team.
Tasc v3 is released, entirely written in C. The program runs on MS-DOS.
Cebir hires its third employee (who still works for Cebir to this day).
Cebir receives the prestigious Vocap award for the development of TASC, the testing system software.
Tasc v4 is released, capable of displaying bitmaps at a resolution of 640x480.
Cebir develops custom applicant management packages.
Tasc v5 is released.
Headquarters move to the current building on Leuvensesteenweg in Kortenberg.
Tasc v5 is released, with both main programs fully developed for Windows. Reporting capabilities are significantly expanded, providing explanations based on scores.
Tasc v7 is released, featuring a complete redesign of the test screen structure. All major programs are available for Windows.
Tascnet v1 is released, the first version of the online testing program.
